This is a great script but there is a huge problem with it. In the whois server list you have whois.opensrs.net for COMs. It is a former service of Tucows. Without saying what I think about Tucows (children might read this) I will only say that the server is not functioning for a long time now.

Is there an alternative? This list really needs updating. Do you have any suggestions? I will also look for an available Captcha-free server and let you know if I find something.

I will get this updated very shortly. I was unaware that the particular whois server was not working.

I have been doing some tests on the whois.opensrs.net server and I do not currently seem to have any issues obtaining whois information.

Locating captcha free servers isn;t an issue to be honest. The script that obtains the whois information uses port 43 of the whois server and does not screen scrape.

Have you had any issues with the script updating the whois information?
