Installation on Rackspace Cloud
Hello,

I've installed domain portfolio manager on mosso. It's a rackspace cloud server. I get a white screen, no error file, and my configuration is correct. Do you know if their are any known issues with cloud servers?

Thank you,

Chuck

RE: Installation on Rackspace Cloud
Hi Check

To be honest I have never used a cloud server so not 100% sure. The usual reason for a clear white screen is an internal server error. If you use a Firefox addon called Live HTTP Headers it might be worth double checking this.

Another thing you could try is removing the following from the .htaccess file:

Code:
<ifmodule mod_expires.c>
  <filesmatch "\.(jpg|gif|png|css|js)$">
       ExpiresActive on
       ExpiresDefault "access plus 1 year"
   </filesmatch>
</ifmodule>

The above code is surplus to requirements and will actually be removed from the next version as what it does is beyond the scope and need for this script.

Apart from these suggestions there is not much I can suggest without having a proper look on the server. You could check your Apache error file if you have access to this (some control panels give you access to this).

If you are unable to locate the issue using the above suggestions if at all possible would it be possible for me to get temporary access to have a look. It does not necessarily need to be the account the portfolio script is on. I could always check on a blank account. I have had a couple of reports of such issues but not had the opportunity to see what might be causing the issue.

RE: Installation on Rackspace Cloud
Peter,

I set up a test account for you on my cloud. You should be able to set up a site and play around. The credentials were sent to your support@collectionmanagers.com email address.

Enjoy,

Chuck

Just an update on this issue.

Chuck has provided me with a test account. On investigation it seems to be a problem with both the database and tempalting systems.

Both of these rely on named results. The database system can easily be rewritten however the templating systems is not so easy.

I will look into ways of working around this and report back ASAP.

Just a heads up.

This issue is now resolved in the version I am working on, due for release within days.

Any updates on when this will be released? I just downloaded it and experience the same issue described in this thread.

Thanks!

RE: Installation on Rackspace Cloud
A new version has now been released that should fix the issues a few people have been experiencing as mentions within this thread. If you continue to experience any issues please feel free to contact me.

If you experienced the issue straight after an install and have not been able to use the script properly I would strongly suggest carrying out a new installation rather than an upgrade.
