Auto Fetch Registrar?
Hi,
Will you be adding Auto Fetch for registrars? Seems a shame to have this feature missing from this great little piece of software. Auto Fetch domain status would be another, but not as important. Many thanks for your work so far. - Vince |

RE: Auto Fetch Registrar?
Hi Vince
I certainly would like to achieve something like an auto fetch registrar but it is a case of finding the best way to do this. Within the whois you generally see the ICANN accredited registrar so if you use a reseller it would show the wrong 1. When you say domain status do you mean the status such as registered, pending delete etc? I am planning on having something like this as I am planning on adding features that make it easier to detect changes with your domain names. I am planning on capturing even things like nameservers so an alarm would be triggered if these were changed. If you have any more suggestions please feel free to let me know. I am always looking for ideas. Peter Domain Portfolio Manager Documentataion Like my scripts? Why not look how you can make a donation or maybe you are looking for other services we offer. RE: Auto Fetch Registrar?
Hi Peter,
ICANN accredited registrar would be good enough for me, even though I am a reseller for ResellerClub (old DirectI). If you can add this easily, I'd say go for it but add ability to either hide or edit in case others don't want to display the actual ICANN registrar? For status, yes the actual domain status as per WhoIs registered, pending delete etc would be great. The other things you mention like nameservers and alarm for any changes would be great, so basically going towards providing this script with same functionality as per the portfolio free online service from domantools.com ? I noticed you helped the developer for domainportfolio.us regarding multiple categories feature - which he acknowledged In a way, I wish you guys would get together as I like features from both scripts, and would be great if merged ![]() # Owner Name # Contact Email Addresses (ability to hide) # Domain Creation Date # Domain Expiry Date # Date on which record was last updated # IP address of the domain website (ability to hide) # Registrar (ability to hide or edit) # Name Servers Hope that helps, - Vince |

RE: Auto Fetch Registrar?
Hi Vince
Yes I know Eric (domainportfolio.us). I used to moderate on a forum that he moderated on as well. I will cetainly look into adding the features that you requested. Regarding the information to be hidden. This would not necessarily need to be done unless on a per domain basis as if it was globally the template could just have the placeholder removed. Looking about at sites that implement my script I see people have made some good templates for it and hid data already that they did not want to display. I am always keen to get development ideas so if you think of anything else by all means let me know. P.S. sorry for the delay in responding. I do visit the forum at least once a day but seem to have missed your reply). Domain Portfolio Manager Documentataion Like my scripts?
